Case Studies
City of Yorktown
The City of Yorktown lost their long-time water and wastewater system operator. EJA has been able to troubleshoot their wastewater system, make recommendations for addressing the issues, and mentor staff to pass the TCEQ licensing exams.
City of Holland
Through our relationship with Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), EJA participated in the pilot Asset Management Plan for Small Systems (AMPSS). n 2021, the city council, mayor and water superintendent resigned from their positions. We prepared the AMPSS documentation and the city was able to quickly reset and stabilize utility operations. The AMPSS documentation will position the city to effectively apply for additional funding from the TWDB.
Small Water and Wastewater Systems
With our contract with the Texas Rural Water Association (TRWA), we have provided financial, managerial and technical support to more than 200 small water and wastewater systems. Our services include Capital Improvement Plans and Asset Management, emergency planning, staff and board training, operating reports and record keeping requirements; lead and copper rule requirements and lead service line inventories, development of plan operations manual, and addressing and preventing Maximum Contaminant Level violations.
